Ankle & Foot Ice Wrap for Ankle Pain and Swelling

I was in need of a cold wrap that would cover my heel as well as the ankle and top of my foot. Looking at the picture I thought I was purchasing the perfect cold wrap. This is the most difficult item to wrap around the foot. It is too hard when frozen, very uncomfortable, and I should have believed the comments that were posted. The only positive is that it does stay cold! Would not recommend!

Once frozen this wrap is very firm. Wish the cold ice packs were gel so could wrap more efficiently around the ankle bones

The wrap has the plastic cubes inside that prevents it from being very flexible. It is two sheets of the cubes sewn together. You have to work it around a bit to get it to wrap around the ankle. Aside from that, the wrap stays cold for a long time. I found it more comfortable with a sock on. It was too cold against the skin.

I have two older injuries one a Achilles tendon and a bad knee on the same leg . Ice is the only therapy that works for several hours . the cold wraps make using ice several times a day easy to do . thanks John Molenda

I use it for my ankle and then transfer it to my bicep. It is cold enough for 40 straight min (20 on each). Well made product. I am stoked with this wrap. I use daily.

I shattered my heel a year ago and I am still undergoing treatment, the wrap holds temperature very well. I have had three surgeries on my heel and wish I had the wrap for the first two. It stays in place and fits over all the bandges my doctor can put on my foot. I highly recommend this wrap for anyone who needs ice on their heel or ankle.

Delivery was very quick, on the first wrap I ordered there was some confusion on my part about the shipper, USPS, I thought UPS. I have a PO Box, but had put my street address on the shipping info. This product was just delivered and being anxious to take advantage of its benefits I decided to practice wrapping my ankle. There were no instructions and after watching the video numerous times-it is presented in a very fast format- I still cannot get the wrap to look like the picture. My product has two separate elastic strips, one wide and one narrow. The wide strip was sewn on the top of the wrap and the narrow elastic is on the same side at the bottom . There is no logo on the wide elastic strip making it difficult to follow the video or use the photo for a guide. The velcro on the narrow strip is sewn on so that it cannot adhere to the fabric without twisting it. In the process of trying to wrap my ankle the elastic slips and I cannot achieve a tight or comfortable fit around the top of the ankle. As I attempt to create the figure eight the bottom sections separate and the process has to begin again. There needs to be a step by step instruction sheet, I recommend a velcro strip to the winged sides to keep them closed, and/or the video needs to be presented with clear instructions within a slow format. With all the twisting needed to make this wrap work my ankle is now in extreme pain and I am very disappointed with the result. Not a happy customer

I put on your Ice Wrap each afternoon for 1-2 hours. I find my swelling goes down. I had surgery on my right heel in March 2011. It seems to help me when I walk. I hope it may help my swelling go away faster.

This product makes icing my foot extremely easy. Just slip it on, secure it and you are ready. Very convenient.

This product was very difficult to put on, even with my husband helping me. It becomes too rigid in the freezer, and subsequently does not conform to the foot. I wound up unable to ice the necessary parts of my surgical wound. The straps are complicated to figure out, and when I finally got the thing on my ankle, it was extremely uncomfortable. Don't even bother.

It needs to be lined on the inside so that you don't have to wrap your foot to protect it from the cold hard plastic

I am a big guy, in the video it looks as though it fits the young lady just fine. But I have a size 15 foot. I need a bigger version of the ICE-DK-55. I could have used a larger wrap for my foot.

This wrap holds the cold for a long time but the only problem as other people have stated is it is not very flexible from the freezer. The best way to use this is to remove from the freezer about 15 minutes before you want to wrap you foot. This eliminates adjusting after you have it on.

Love that is stays colder way longer then gell packs. However we had a bad shipping expirence, had paid extra for shipping not a good idea. BUT Ice Wraps was right on it and we did get the wrap.My husband had broke his foot in three places and this has helped him alot - IT stays on all night helps cold it and pretected it when sleeping...

The ice pack is too rigid and does not conform well. Softer gel packs are better. I have even moved to just soaking my ankle/foot in a bucket of ice water for 10 minutes, although that is pretty intense cold.

I like the way the ankle wrap surrounds my foot. The velcro strap is easy to secure the wrap. My only complaint is that the ice is hard. I recommend that you use gel packs that are not hard when they freeze.

Like everyone has said, it's a very convenient product and works well for the most part. The only bad thing is that it's not pliable enough. If it were gell then it would be perfect. But all in all, still a good product.

There are "cylinders" of fluid that freeze rigid and don't conform to the ankle/foot like softer gel type packs. I am back to using a soft gel ice pack and wrapping with an ace bandage for better conformability after long runs.

I had surgery to reattach my achilles tendon to my heel bone after removing a "pump bump". The recovery time is very long and a bit painful. Once the cast was removed the area of skin near the incision would swell and feel hot to the touch. I used the ice wrap and within 5 minutes the pain had subsided and the swelling had reduced considerably. The ice wrap stays in place and is easy to attach to your ankle. I highly recommend this product as I'm still using it to control the pain and swelling after therapy.

I agree with several of the other comments. I too, find that the ice pack solution freezes too hard and is not pliable enough to form around my foot and ankle. I have a very tiny foot and until the ice wrap has been out of the freezer for some time have a hard time getting it to conform to my foot. It is definitely a lot better than what I do have but wish it were like the gel one that my physio dept. has when I go there.

It does the job but the solution freezes to hard for me. I would like something with solution that ices up but does not freeze solid. This makes it hard conform to whole ankle.

I had seven incisions in my foot during surgery. I wish the part that covered the top of the foot was more flexible and went higher up on the toes....also wish there was a bit more ice around the bottom of the heel. Would have liked some material to absorb the condensation on th e plastic side pf the wrap. Overall useful and fairly content with product. Remember you asked for comments!!!

This ice wrap has convenient boot shape however it is not pliable -does not conform to your ankle but iinstead is rigid. The water in it freezes solid and provides an hour or more of cold. I would have preferred a more gel pack like consistency to provide compression with the cold- but it is still a good quality product for what it is. I had surgery on my anklke so my needs are more specific than most

When an ice pack is needed, it's usually right away. I found a hard to find ice pack for the foot and ankle on IceWraps.net, and had it shipped directly to my daughter. This is a reasonably good icing system for the ankle but is less than effective if your dealing with achilles tendons problems as the wrap doesn't extend under the base of the heal.

I broke my ankle and the first ice wrap I had only covered part of my ankle(not from Ice wraps) I was playing around online and came across IceWraps and the first thing that popped up was the ankle and foot ice wrap I am telling this is the best thing for someone recovering from a broken ankle, it covers in all the right places put it on at night and go to sleep and when you wake up the swelling is gone. THE BEST THING EVER.

I broke my leg in 3 places which during recovery swells up the ankle and foot when not elevated and just because of post-surg also. When on crutches this is the best thing to use because it straps on your foot/ankle without problem. Your leg isn't all wet after using it either. No wet mess after icing.

This is the best ankle wrap on the market. It is flexible for wrapping, it stays cold for hours longer other products, it applies the coldness where it needs to be applied -- not like some other products I have tried -- and as a result, I use it daily during basketball season. Ordering on-line was easy; and it arrived much quicker than I anticipated. I now regret wasting my money on a temporary product from the local pharmacy.
