After two years of use they were getting worn and I decided to replace them. I bought what I thought was the same size/thickness as before. I was wrong. These are very thin and only hold their cold for about 8 minutes maximum. it's not long enough to get a good cold through the muscle. Highly disappointed in this version of the ice wrap. It is definitely a good idea to get two of them so you can switch them out from the freezer, as the pads tend to cool down slightly sooner than I would like. The size is perfect for my daily icing of my back (arthritis). They stay cold and in place and the covering is great for my Dr's recommendation of direct cold. They are a little heavier than I would've thought but they do stay cold and they stay soft. They are a little hard to knead when using them 3x per day my hands get tried trying to mold them, but overall I'd still recommend them because of their molding to your body. I need to find something to keep them in place though when my leg is raised. BOTTOM LINE: Ok

For my shoulder I use this Elasto-Gel and the 10X13's. Although the 6X10's have the movable velcro (one whole side is attachable) I doubt I'll ever use them. I've injured most parts of the body over the years and the 10X13's will probably suffice. BOTTOM LINE: Very good
