Dual Comfort Cold or Hot Therapy Packs 10 x 13
Relief from strains, sprains, tendonitis and other injuries. Unique strapping
system securely fastens anywhere on these hot and cold packs. Non-toxic gel is
biodegradable and retains therapeutic temperatures longer. Soft, plush
"frost-free" cover protects your skin. Store in the freezer; stays soft and
pliable. Heat in microwave.
Heating Instructions
Based on initial pack temperature below 75F (24C).
Knead after each heating. Microwave ovens vary; use care when heating and
removing pack from microwave. Overheating pack may cause pack to rupture and/or
leak. Carefully check the pack with the palm of your hand before applying.
Discard pack if punctured or broken.
Heat 30 seconds on high heat, knead, and then continue heating at 10 second
intervals until desired temperature is reached. Knead after each heating.

Cold therapy works by constricting blood vessels, resulting in a decrease in
blood flow to the area of application. This helps to decrease swelling and
promote healing. Heat therapy increases blood flow to the area to help relax
muscles and decrease pain. Put them together and you've got a lot of natural
healing at your disposal for relieving sprains, strains, tendinitis and other
injuries, as well as stiffness and poor circulation. This pain management system
is even more dynamic.
Two "frost-free" surfaces and a unique strapping system provide therapeutic
temperatures with secure positioning. The plush surface provides slow-release
treatment, while the rapid-release surface delivers quicker results with either
heat or cold. Microwave or conveniently store in freezer, where they stay soft
and pliable. Available in many sizes, including a tri-sectional shape that's
perfect for the neck and shoulders.

Comments: BOTTOM LINE: It's Great!I liked the different 'cold' level releases that the two different fabrics provided. I found sitting on the ice pack the most comfortable and beneficial. The weight of the 10x13 size makes it hard to handle. Should be marketed to medical doctors for post Cortisone use. Other ice packs don't work as well. Loved it! |

I purchased it prior to replacement knee surgery and have tried it to see how it will works. Well, it is great!! I love having the band to keep it in place, and I particularly like the way it doesn't sweat and keeps cold for a fairly long time. My husband loves it because now he doesn't have to get up in the middle of the night to fill the old-fashionged ice bag!! |
It seems well made and is replacing a similar product no longer available that I had for years and years. I hope this one will last as long. I really like it and it works wonderfully--maybe even better than my old be loved one.
