Comments: I recently tore a tendon in my ankle and had to have surgery. I got to use the wrap at physical therapy. It provides pain relief and reduces swelling. I couldn't go back to a regular ice pack, so I ordered one to use at home. I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital and my ankle is so swollen when I get home. I use my wrap every night when I get off work and after I do my physical therapy. I recommend it to everyone with post surgery pain. BOTTOM LINE: Best Cold Therapy Ever!

He was enthusiatic about the product and I also realized that it would work well for my occcasional rheumatoid arthritis flares. Haven't used it as a hot pack-yet. Only complaint is the covering material. Nice and soft but the velco grabs it if it barely touches it. That in itself isn't a problem but it snags the material. Naturally, there is the accompanying pain that I'm experiencing. My therapist suggested the Elasto-Gel pad and I've been using it during my therapy sessions. I also received email info so I could order my own for home use. I use it several times a day - especially during the night - to give me a better night's sleep! I have other ice packs, but the Elasto-Gel is so soft, so flexible, and it conforms to my shoulder/back/neck like no other! I'm considering purchasing other Elasto-Gel products, particularly the shoulder wrap. I am very satisfied with the product and pleased with the results. BOTTOM LINE: All purpose ice wrap / hot wrap 9" x 24"

Comments: The ice pack was used on me while having therapy after knee replacement. It took me several hours to locate the brand and vender. I ordered it immediately and was pleased that it arrived within several days. Because of the size and shape, I was able to put it on quickly, and remove and freeze it easily in my freezer. Before the Gel ice pack arrived i was struggling with two seperate packs; trying to place one on the front of the knee and one on the back at the same time. What a chore. I purchased one for a friend when she was scheduled for her knee replacement. She has been thrilled with it. THANK YOU BOTTOM LINE: Perfect size where needed.

The ability to secure it with the velcro straps is great too. The only things I would have liked to see a little different are: The material that covers the wrap is too fragile, snags/pulls in the fabric are created every single time you attach the velcro to it. I imagine it won't last long long. The other thing is that I wish it was a little colder from the get go. It still does a wonderful job though! It was first used on me in Physical Therapy when I broke 3 bones in my ankle. This wrap is great because it just molds to your ankle, neck, shoulder, whatever hurts. It a gel so there's no frozen bubbles that are poking into your injury and making you feel worse. Anyway, if you have never used an elasto-gel wrap, you got to get one. This means it has to be put in a plastic bag (provided) in the freezer every time. I find this mildly irritating. 2. It doesn't keep cold as long as other packs. The filling is more solid than liquid in that you cannot change the shape. It simply doesn't keep it's cold as long. I'm using it in conjunction with other packs but I don't think this would keep its cold for 15 minutes by itself. And this is the idea, right? 3. The covering is very soft, silk-like, and very comfortable. BOTTOM LINE: Some good, some bad
