The Contour Pak® Cold Pak™ is filled with a non-toxic water based gel. This gel is designed to be gravity resistant, meaning that wherever the gel is distributed inside the pack it will remain in place. This special feature in addition to the unique strapping mechanism allows hands free icing.
Unusual Shape
The Maltese cross design of Contour Pak® is like no other on the market today. This shape is responsible for the versatility of the Cold Pak™. If one section of the pack is not necessary for targeting a specific problem area simply push the gel out of that section to reshape the pack. To see all of the possible shapes this pack can take as well as its uses go to the common uses section. The pack measures 12" x 12", and the strap is able to stretch from 14.5" to 21.5".

First, the outer lining of the pack is a soft, comfortable flannel like material. Additionally, this material makes it possible to place the pack directly against the skin without the risk of skin burn. Second, the inner liner is a space-age polymer specially designed to remain soft and moldable even under the coldest of temperatures. HOW TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR WRAP TO FIT JUST YOUR ELBOW
Step 1. Take your Contour Pak out of the freezer and spread it out on a flat surface. Once you have it lying in the full cross-position start to push the gel out of both the top and bottom of the pack. This is best done by placing the edge of your hand (little finger down) to push the gel or ice out of the top and bottom segments and into the main body of the pack. Step 2. Once this is done fold the empty top and bottom segments towards the main body of the pack so that they overlap each other. Your Contour Pak should now look like a long rectangle.
Step 3. Now, in order to keep the top and bottom segments out of your way it is best to attach your straps so that the Velcro® tabs simultaneously hold the flaps to the main body of the pack.
Step 4. Cradle the Contour Pak in your hand so that the side with attached straps is resting in your palm. Place your elbow in the middle of the pack allowing it to curl around your elbow.
Step 5. Finally, take the strap ends not attached to the pack and pull them around the inside of the elbow, attaching them to the other side of the pack.
***All contour wrap ice packs are the same product. The key is that with the use of the removable straps and flexible gel you can turn this multi-purpose wrap into many different kind of ice wraps. The is no need to buy 2 different Contour Pak wraps (say 1 for your knee and 1 for your wrist) unless you want to use 2 at the same time! We always say this because they are the same wrap.
