"I know I’ve found a new key to my post-ride recovery. After each ride, I take a recovery drink with me into the shower, clean off and then put the ice wraps on while I cook and eat."-- Phil Gaimon, 24, rides for Kenda Pro Cycling

Foot & Ankle Pain Treatment - Ice &Hot Wrap by Elasto-Gel
Description
Many people suffer from ankle pain. Treatment methods vary, but the Elasto-Gel Foot/Ankle Therapy Wrap covers the entire foot and ankle. Use it for everyday aches; or use it with occupational, physical, or sports therapy.
The sturdy but flexible latex-free gel wrap won't dry out and won't leak when the stretchy covering is punctured. Arrange the wrap in any of a variety of ways to aid your ankle pain?swelling, sprains, stiffness, strains, and surgery pain can all be helped with the wrap. The wrap's flexibility even lets it well cover the front of your ankle for anterior ankle pain.
This one wrap works for hot or cold ankle pain treatment. Heat the wrap in the conventional oven or microwave, and apply the resultant moist heat to your foot and ankle. The heat lasts for 20 to 30 minutes.
To chill the wrap, put it in a resealable bag and stick it in the freezer. (Make sure to put it in a resealable bag first, to keep it from picking up excess moisture.) The chill lasts for 20 to 40 minutes, but usually it will gently numb an area within 5 minutes. It keeps its flexibility down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.

| By Life chanes on a dime From Rochester, MY On May 21, 2012 About Me: Health Professional, Recently InjuredPros: Hold its Temperature, Comfortable, Great Fit, Well Made ![]() | Ankle wrap meets my needsComments: BOTTOM LINE: Ankle wrap meets my needsI have a trimalleolar fracture with ruptured ligaments. This really is a great product for me as I need to ice down all the way around my ankle and foot. I found the product to be well made and comfortable. In being careful not to let it get wet, I placed it in the bag, sealed it only part way and then rolled it up to squeeze all of the air out of it. I then sealed it the rest of the way and then unrolled it. I didn't have any trouble with moisture in the bag. This will also be good for next winter when I anticipate needing warmth on my ankle. |
| By Alex From Brooklyn NY On May 05, 2012 Cons: Never gets cold enough, Does not Hold its Temperature ![]() | I not crazy about it!Comments: BOTTOM LINE: I not crazy about it!Ice pads from Rite Aid much colder and better then this one. This wrap is not cold enough for injuries, may be its good for kids but not for adults. The only positive is that covers large areas. |
| By Deb From Southern California On March 27, 2012 About Me: Recently InjuredPros: Comfortable, Great Fit, Provides Pain Relief, Hold its Temperature ![]() | Plantar FascitisComments: BOTTOM LINE: Plantar FascitisI find that I need more ice therapy. So I use this device out of freezer. When it warms up, I put a cotton sock on and I get a re-usable ice thing out of freezer and apply to my heel, then wrap my foot back up in this device. When it gets too cold, I remove it for 10 minutes or so, then re-apply. 3 applications in a row seems to alleviate the pain and swelling the best. I also had to purchase the softest, consequently most expensive Nike's I could find. In my home, I put in 2 Dr. Shool's gel souls in my slippers to try to keep my foot cushioned. |
| By Farm Woman From Cottonwood, CA On February 23, 2012 About Me: Suffering from General Pain, Cronic tendonitis in footPros: Provides Pain Relief, Comfortable, Reduces swelling, Hold its Temperature, Well Made Cons: It is a bit big ![]() | Relief for Farm WorkerComments: BOTTOM LINE: Relief for Farm WorkerVery important to let the boot warm a bit before applying it. If you use it straight from the freezer, it is too cold and hurts within a minute or two. This does not happen if you let it warm for 5 minutes or so before using it. I also use it to warm up my feet when I just can't get them warm any other way. Very nice. |
| By Ghetto Foot From Omaha On February 15, 2012 About Me: Suffering from General PainPros: Size ![]() | NICEComments: BOTTOM LINE: NICEI love this! I love how large it is and that it covers all that I need it too. A great buy |

| By NoHuli Paddler From Oahu, HI On November 04, 2011 About Me: Athletic, Recently InjuredPros: Comfortable, Well Made, Provides Pain Relief, Great Fit, Hold its Temperature ![]() | So easy to use, THAT I ACTUALLY USE ITComments: BOTTOM LINE: So easy to use, THAT I ACTUALLY USE ITSo easy to use that i actually use it!!!!! I love Elasto-Gel products, we've had a knee wrap for 6 years. and we do NOT treat it well. but it has held up anyway. cools without being too cold and holds tempurature long enough to be effective. it lives in my freezer, for instant use after a long day of work or play. i wish i didn't use it so much for cool, as it is always frozen and not ready for heat. i keep saying i will buy another to keep out for heating, but the freezer always seems to be where mine live ;) Service Comments: Delivery was excellent. Being in Hawaii, I am always disgusted with companies that won't use USPS and instead charge us over-inflated delivery charges. Thank you for being prompt and reasonable ! ! ! ! ! |
| By Nickname From Texas On June 01, 2011 About Me: Athletic, Post-surgeryPros: Well Made, Comfortable Cons: Fit is not the best, Does not Hold its Temperature ![]() | Fits nicelyComments: BOTTOM LINE: Fits nicelyIts pretty good and infinitely better than a square ice pack which will not stay on the ankle. It is too large though - nobody's ankle is that fat - so it wraps around 1.5 times and the coldest part is on the front of the foot, not where I need it. |
| By broken ankle skier From atlanta, ga On May 25, 2011 About Me: Athletic, Recently InjuredPros: Easy to use comfortable, Great Fit, Comfortable, Provides Pain Relief, Well Made Cons: A little heavy, Needs to get colder, Does not Hold its Temperature ![]() | Great productComments: BOTTOM LINE: Great productI wish I had purchased this product sooner. It feels great and is comfortable. It needs to get colder in the freezer, and stay colder longer. Love it out of the microwave, stays warm longer than it stays cold. It is a little heavy if you move your ankle and you have an injury. However, I would highly recommend this product. |
| By Bob DeCelle From Undisclosed On Octover 20, 2010 ![]() | Foot and Ankle WrapComments: BOTTOM LINE: Foot and Ankle WrapVery happy w/ heat wrap, have yet to use ice therapy but heat works very well. Perfect for achilles tendonitis problem I have and after running around this product helps immensely |
| By Jo C. From Undisclosed On August 24, 2010 | Elasto-Gel Foot & Ankle WrapComments: BOTTOM LINE: Elasto-Gel Foot & Ankle WrapGreat idea for a product. I wish, however, that the seam that runs down the center of the "boot", that holds the two halves together, was on the outside. I have complex regional pain syndrome and anything and everything, including fabric "textures" and seams can, irritate the foot. I have to turn it inside out, but then the securing strap's velcro closure is backwards. So...pretty great product that just needs a little tweek. |
| By Gerri From Undisclosed On Octover 27, 2009 ![]() | Ankle and Foot Wrap ReviewComments: BOTTOM LINE: Ankle and Foot Wrap ReviewThank you. I wish I had known about your product years ago. I would have been so much more comfortable when I chipped the bone in my foot. |
| By Tom From Undisclosed On March 01, 2009 | No too coldComments: BOTTOM LINE: No too coldWhile I like the fact you can form fit it to your foot, the cold really doesn't last much more than 15 minutes or so. |
| By Rimomma From Undisclosed On February 26, 2009 | Perfect fit!Comments: BOTTOM LINE: Perfect fit!I purchased this ice wrap because it is the ice wrap my Physical therapist uses on my shoulder after my stretches and workout. Even though it says foot and ankle it works perfectly for the shoulder too! |
| By J From Undisclosed On January 24, 2009 | PerfectComments: BOTTOM LINE: PerfectI have a severly sprained ankle and those gel ice packs were not cutting it - not to mention they were extremeley uncomfortable. My physical therapist put me on to elastogel (he used it on me during thereapy) and I am so thankful!!! |
| By Lisa From Undisclosed On January 19, 2009 | Ankle ReliefComments: BOTTOM LINE: Ankle ReliefI absolutely LOVED this item--it was perfect to address the ongoing pain I experience as a result of an ankle injury a year ago. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed when, after several weeks of warming & using it multiple times per day, it suddenly started bubbling during routine heating one day & gel leaked out thereafter. I have not been able to use it since. Because I loved it so much, I would replace it in a heartbeat, but I'm afraid it would unexpectedly get ruined again & it is too expensive for only a few weeks of use. Had it not been ruined, I would have rated it 5 stars, but because it got ruined so quickly, I had to lower it to 3 stars as the compromise between 5 stars for the product & 0 stars for being so ruin-prone. |
| By Debbie Gubanez From Undisclosed On December 22, 2008 | Ice WrapComments: BOTTOM LINE: Ice WrapThis ice wrap works really good, and gives my foot a lot of relief. Thinking of getting another one after the holidays so I can do both feet at once. |
| By andrea, tennessee From Undisclosed On September 24, 2008 | Well worth the money!Comments: BOTTOM LINE: Well worth the money!I am very satisfied with my foot & ankle ice & hot wrap. I can't use ice on my foot because of nerve pain, but I can use heat. The wrap great! You heat it up in the microwave and just wrap it around your foot and ankle. Unlike a heating pad you're mobile if necessary. The entire wrap is made of gel, so even your achilles receives benefit. The wrap could even be used on a shoulder or elbow if needed. |
| By Chris & Mike Krystofik From Undisclosed On September 12, 2008 | Ice &Hot Wrap by Elasto-GelComments: BOTTOM LINE: Ice &Hot Wrap by Elasto-GelAWESOME!!! My husband has severe gout and it totally numbs his pain! What's more I can see a difference in the swelling in 20 min. The bumpiness of an ice pack hurts him and this smooth and is inside the WHOLE WRAP! (not just little patches of it) Fair pricing for the value and quick shipping! A Thank You! |
| By Renee From Undisclosed On July 05, 2008 | The best wrap - bar noneComments: BOTTOM LINE: The best wrap - bar noneI got this for a post bunionectomy surgery and I prefer to to a number of other ice packs I have. It not bitingly cold and its very soft so it wraps very very well. I've also traveled with it and its a pleasure. One really minor warning: the velcro tears up the skin of the wrap so I make sure the velcro band is attached to itself. |
| By Lisa From Undisclosed On May 27, 2008 | AwesomeComments: BOTTOM LINE: AwesomeThis foot wrap is extremely comfortable even though its temperature is so cold. I can walk with it on. It really ices the entire foot and ankle area and gives great relief. Customer service was extremely helpful in deciding which product would be best for me and helped to choose the PERFECT wrap. Thanks! |
