"I know I’ve found a new key to my post-ride recovery. After each ride, I take a recovery drink with me into the shower, clean off and then put the ice wraps on while I cook and eat."-- Phil Gaimon, 24, rides for Kenda Pro Cycling

Hip Ice Wrap
Description
This hip ice wrap is specifically designed for use on either hip. The Exterior Material is a Neoprene and cotton polyester ice bag. Exterior of the ice bag is rubberized cotton. To use, simply unscrew the cap and insert ice!
The wrap is comfortably adjusted with Velcro straps. When fully cool the wrap is approximately 40 degrees Fahrenheit and remains therapeutically cool for 90 minutes. This wrap uses REAL ICE and therefore can go anywhere with you as ICE is always available. Products fit into place and you can be mobile as you reap benefits of the products.
Use on the hip or gluteal region for problems such as bursitis and swelling due to closed fractures and hip pointer injuries for basketball players. Also works great for the pain and swelling associated with total hip replacements.
About the Ice Bag
The ice bag outside or outer layer is made out of a woven cotton/polyester fabric, that allows it go directly onto the skin, and a second rubberized lining. Therefore, it has 2 layers, which is why there is no leakage. In addition, its deep threaded cap protects from leaking around the screw top when the bag is closed for use.

| By Melissa From Undisclosed On July 31, 2010 ![]() | Hip Rice WrapComments: BOTTOM LINE: Hip Rice WrapVery easy and convenient to use. I love that I can use ice and water instead of gel packs. This ice pack gets very cold very fast and maintains that temperature for a much longer time than the gel packs I used to use. I also like that this pack combines compression with cold therapy. It is very comfortable to wear and walk around with. |

We ordered this for our teenage daughter, who has been suffering for almost a year with a labral tear. Traditional ice packs aren't large enough, or are too cumbersome for her to use on her hip and very ineffective in pain relief. It does take two of us to get her "strapped" in, which is a bit aggravating, but it's totally worth it because the comfort and convenience of having the icepack stay in place without having to lie down or be still is what we were looking for. She also likes that there is added compression to her injury site, which also helps with the pain. When the ice melts, there is some condensation, but not too much to make it a problem.
