"I know I’ve found a new key to my post-ride recovery. After each ride, I take a recovery drink with me into the shower, clean off and then put the ice wraps on while I cook and eat."-- Phil Gaimon, 24, rides for Kenda Pro Cycling
Instant Cold Pack by Mueller Kold - Case of 16
Ideal for situations where you don't have time to wait for the freezer or ice is not available or too messy. The Mueller Kold Instant Cold Pack takes less than 5 seconds to start cooling.
This is the coldest pack we sell...period! It get so cold, so fast due to a chemical reaction that is activated the bag is squeezed firmly, breaker the inner bag. The reaction is comes from mixing ammonium nitrate and water. Because of the intense cold temperature this instant ice pack achieves, users should always use a barrier such as a towel, tape or pre-wrap to protect their skin.
Using the Instant Kold Pack is easy. First shake contents to the bottom of bag and locate inner pouch. Then hold pack away from yourself and others, use both hands and squeeze firmly to break the inner pouch. Next shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds. It will now be cold. Wrap or cover the cold pack with a towel or other protective material. Do not apply directly to the skin as it is too cold. Apply to injured area and after use...dispose of cold pack. Do not reuse.
- Quality cold pack activates instantly when squeezed

The first problem is that it is hard to get the inner bag to break, I had one that would not break and had asked a few people to try and I ended up throwing it away. Also, depending on where you are using it, it is hard to keep it in place. If you are using it on a completely flat service or you want to hold it for 15 minutes in place then it is ok, but otherwise it was hard to use a wrap around it ... I used it for my upper arm, not a good fit...
