Many of us have pain in the lower back. The Elasto-Gel Lumbar Wrap was designed for 20 to 40 minutes of dry hot or gentle cold therapy for sharp back pain or everyday aches. The flexible hook-and-loop closures let you move freely while wearing the wrap, specially shaped to fit your lower back.
The sturdy gel padding keeps its flexibility from 250 degrees Fahrenheit down to -20 degrees. The latex-free, nitrile-free pad doesn't dry out or leak if punctured. It conforms to your back at -20 degrees Fahrenheit, 250 degrees, or anything in-between. Use the lumbar wrap as an aid with professional therapy, for minor muscle aches and pains, or for left back pain.
The Lycra cloth cover can be removed for washing. The plastic cover inside makes the pad waterproof and easy to disinfect. Add a wet cloth between the hot pad and cloth cover for a moist heat.
Heat the wrap in the microwave, oven, or microwave oven; chill it in the freezer. Either way, it's easy-to-use and waterproof, ideal for aiding even lower left back pain.

bought as a gift for my hard-working neighbor, who was desperately looking for non-prescription pain relief for lower back pain. She thanks IceWrap! Works better than anything else she has tried and has saved many bags of frozen peas from getting thawed and thrown away.....

I've had a bad back for 45 years. This wrap is easy to put on and fits comfortably. It holds the temperature for the 20 minutes and then some. I'm hoping the velcro bands will continue to work. It hasn't leaked and is not supposed to. My others did and then I had to buy a new one.It cost twice as much but so far is worth it. It manages the pain quite well.

The bag that was provided with the product developed a rip near the closure immediately. I use two gallon sized Ziploc freezer bags with as much air as possible pressed out. I still often get condensation which in terms moistens the ice pack.

| Intelligently designed lumbar/sacral pad|
Comments:BOTTOM LINE: Intelligently designed lumbar/sacral pad
The biggest con is the ice wrap's temperature capability and for how long it holds the temperature. It's not as cold as other wraps can be in an immediately perceived manner, however if left for the full 20 minutes, even though you don't feel it to be very cold, the cold DOES penetrate and aid disc inflammation. It may be inconvenient if you need something that stays cold over 20 minutes, but fact of the matter is, doctors recommend to do precisely 20 minutes of cold pads and about 1 to 2 hours off the cold, and repeating. It IS beautifully and intelligently designed to hit your sacral area, which is extremely rare. If the content were not gel but water instead, it would certainly be colder, but you wouldn't have the flexibility factor. I kept mine. You should always keep 2 ice pads in the freezer anyway. I also like that it covers a large area on the back and the sides of your waist, which I find to be very soothing. Because of its 2 straps with velcro, you can keep it in place while driving. YOU MUST STORE IT INSIDE ITS ZIPLOCK BAG WHEN KEPT IN THE FREEZER, THOUGH!!! So remember to do that! If you stay in traffic for long, keep a little cooler with ice in your car and store it there.

Cons: Not as good as ICE, Doesn't get cold enough, Does not Hold its Temperature

Comments:BOTTOM LINE: Not as cold as ice
I can't sit for long hours driving and since I live in LA that's not possible, so I put it on before getting in the car, adds lumbar support also...but not as cold as I need to get to the inflammation.

9 months post L5-S1 fusion surgery. This pack is used to ease the swelling in my low back after a day of sitting since I still seem to have some impingement. By the end of the day I can no longer sit in a chair since my low back/posterior hurts so much. Ice typically relieves some of the pain. This product would be much better if it would get much colder like a true ice pack, but that is just my preference since I seem to get much better relief from a colder pack.

This is perfect for the lower back. I wish I had bought it before. The sizing should be more clear. I have a 36" waste and the small/medium fits well.

Quality product. Keeps the cold on the right location without needing to "saran wrap" the cold pack to my daughter's back.

I injured my back and it is very stiff, but this wrap gets me up and moving each morning. The most comfortable one I've found so far. Excellent heat retention. I haven't tried it for cold therapy, but my husband says it's good.

Works well. Easy to use. Heat lasts about an hour. Excellent product for the relative I gave it to as a gift. You have to be careful that the velcro doesn't stick to the cloth it is not made for, because it will fray that soft cloth.

I had a set of old ice packs that consisted of many individual pockets of water in a plastic casing. They worked fine...for awhile...until each little section began to leak. Eventually, no more ice. When I went to buy more, I found the company had gone out of business. That began to make sense to me. But what was my back to do? Went searching and found icewraps. Much better. No leaks. Reliable. My back is very happy. Thanks.
