Worked better than expected. Came with a gel pack that can be heated or frozen. My only complaint is that the gel pack doesnt stay cold long enough.. It's cold enough for one 15 minute icing, but if you want to ice it more than two 15 minute intervals, you will need an extra ice pack. |

It's an engineering marvel of sorts, but set the included ice-pack aside as it doesn't hold a "charge" for long (I use a bag of frozen peas, which retains its cold for much longer). I box and lift weights and this brings much-needed comfort. My only complaint it that the underside of the section that holds the bag against the skin should be thinner to allow more cooling. The actual ice/heat pack area could be a bit larger but it covered a sufficient area. It fits tight enough to insure that the pack stays in place yet allows for flexibility and movement of the arm and shoulder when wearing it. It is comfortable enough that I've actually taken a short nap while wearing it. |

The ice pack is too narrow and fails to fully cover the full shoulder girdle and does not offer any ice contact with the shoulder blade area. Best use is for the head of the shoulder and descending along the side of the arm. good start, needs supplemental ice packs to provide full coverage, but lacks pockets to hold such additional packs. |
